Meet our client

Dawn Moore is a four-time founder and the former CEO of Allegiance Title Company, which she built from the ground up into one of Texas’ largest independent title agencies.

During her 40-plus-year leadership career, Dawn served in high-ranking roles with industry organizations, including as President of the Texas Land Title Association and as a lawyer member of the Texas Real Estate Commission's Broker/Lawyer Committee. She’s also been appointed to 13 corporate and charitable boards, including the Dallas Zoo, Crossfirst Bank, and Dallas Chapter of the World President’s Organization.

The Challenge

Between running a title company, giving industry lectures, serving on numerous boards, and volunteering in her community, Dawn (like most founders and CEOs) couldn’t carve out the time to work on building her personal and professional brand on social media.

As she was approaching retirement and looking for new opportunities to connect with her network, Dawn came to Narrative Bent for help developing her presence on LinkedIn, particularly with industry leaders and decision-makers. She wanted to share the business and life lessons she’d learned during her 41-year career and translate them into thought leadership and new opportunities, such as speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and new board appointments.

The Solution

We began, as we always do, with a deep dive. We needed to get to know Dawn and the audience she hoped to reach on LinkedIn. Who is she? Where does she come from? What’s the Dawn Moore story? 

We also went deep on getting to know Dawn’s audience––their needs and struggles, as well as the accounts and content they were already connecting with on LinkedIn. This work gave us unparalleled insight into the themes and messages that were most likely to resonate with Dawn’s audience and create both engagement and connections.

Once we had this foundational knowledge locked in, we developed what we called Dawn’s “rallying cry” – the overarching message that would attract an audience into her tent to follow Dawn’s journey. 

We identified three key themes that Dawn should share from her LinkedIn account:

  1. Texas real estate industry insights through a legal lens
  2. Professional growth through community service
  3. Empowering women in business and real estate

From there, it was time to get to work. We began by rewriting and optimizing Dawn’s LinkedIn profile to highlight her extensive experience across business, real estate, and the law. We highlighted the ways in which community service and involvement have impacted and given meaning to Dawn's career through her involvement in various boards and initiatives, and her journey as a woman in traditionally male-dominated fields.

After that, we launched our executive ghostwriting and outreach system: We wrote daily posts to be shared from Dawn’s personal account, and sent 50+ connection requests per week to Dawn’s target audience.
